The challenge
Sauna House Greenville is a Nordic spa and bathhouse on West Washington Street, part of a growing franchise. Guests book saunas, cold plunges, and now massage, and the location already had a strong base of reviews.
The weak spot was how the business showed up in search. The Greenville page lived on the franchise’s corporate site, and most of what a guest wanted to know about each service sat inside a booking widget. Google reads the text on a page, not the contents of that widget, so the page gave it little to work with for searches like spa, day spa, or massage in Greenville.
The Google Business Profile had the same gap. It was thin in the spa and day spa categories, and a new massage service was about to launch in July with nothing online to announce it. Meanwhile, a local competitor held the top spot for cold plunge searches.
Sauna House hired Ridgeline in June 2026 to fix that. Our role was the Greenville location’s local search presence, working inside the limits of a corporate website where every page change goes through a ticket.
What we did
Ridgeline took on the Google Business Profile, the Greenville page, the directory listings, and the reporting. Three decisions mattered more than the rest.
1. We pulled the page’s content out of the booking widget. The service descriptions guests needed were locked inside the booking iframe, where Google couldn’t read them. We moved that content onto service cards on the page itself, then added the content sections the page was missing. We also updated the title tag and meta description, fixed the heading structure, and added image alt text. Because the page lives on the corporate site, each change went in as a ticket through the franchise’s system.
2. We built the Google Business Profile around what Sauna House sells. We added a product to the profile for each service and matched it with schema markup on the page, so the two told Google the same story. When massage launched, we rewrote the profile description to include it and published a launch post. For September and October we scheduled posts covering the core searches guests make, including sauna, bathhouse, spa, and massage in Greenville.
3. We cleaned up the listings and measured every week. We corrected Sauna House’s details on Yelp, TripAdvisor, MapQuest, and Apple Maps so they matched the profile. We set up weekly rank tracking and local grid reports, with organic search numbers in a Data Studio report, so each change could be checked against what Google did next. We also automated replies to five-star reviews, so no good review waits for a response.
Results
June was the weakest month before our work took hold. The Greenville page drew 1,220 visits from organic search, and 140 organic visits came from people searching in Greenville itself. By August, organic visits to the page were up 68% and visits from Greenville searchers had doubled. Our changes contributed to those gains.
| Metric | June 2026 | Best month | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Organic visits from people in Greenville | 140 | 286 (August) | +104% |
| Organic visits to the Greenville page | 1,220 | 2,051 (August) | +68% |
| Clicks from Google search | 1,461 | 2,260 (August) | +55% |
| Click-through rate from Google | 7.6% | 10.5% (August) | +38% |
| Click-through rate on mobile | 10.1% | 15.6% (September) | +54% |
| Times Google showed Sauna House | 19.3K | 22.1K (September) | +15% |
The growth peaked in August and eased slightly in September. Even so, September stayed well above June on every measure above.
More of those clicks came from people who already knew the name. Clicks on searches containing the brand name rose 86%, from 733 in June to 1,360 in August, and clicks on “sauna house greenville” itself nearly doubled. The click-through rate on that search rose from 32.9% to 51.8%, so more of the people looking for Sauna House by name ended up on its page.
“Ridgeline has been great to work with right from the start. Zach is very communicative and got straight to work identifying gaps in our SEO and making improvements quickly. We have seen measurable increases each month and their work has really helped to drive new clients to our small business. I can’t recommend them enough!”
